5. Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership
Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. Teachers:
a. participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning
b. exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others
c. evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning
d. contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community
Reflection:
This standard somewhat sums up IT 365. Everything we did in the class can model engaging in professional growth and leadership. By constantly using different technologies and improving my knowledge on what was learned in this class I can fulfill this standard. It is important for teachers to fulfill this standard to allow students the richest learning experience possible. Students learn how to use technology by watching teachers model and use technology. Also by attending professional development meetings and using blogs and websites teachers can expand and share their knowledge.

Future Learning Goals:
I would like to further my knowledge of technology. As stated in the learning goals section on the other reflections, I would love to generally expand my knowledge on how to use what was learned this semester. I would also like to generally learn how to use computers better, so I can teach my students better.
